A Personal Note
βSince reading Lost Connections by Johann Hari, I not only stopped taking my anti-depressant, but am re-committing myself to all the things that I mentioned in April's newsletter(s). Art. Community. Connection. Taking Action. The book puts into words the immense overwhelm I experience in daily life, juggling raising kids, career, home, and even the simple act of taking care of my own body.
May's theme of building your bias towards action is based on the fact that there are so many things that are outside of our control. So taking intentional control of things we can is of the utmost importance. Plus, now that it's spring time, we must take advantage of warmer weather, daylight hours, and fresh air!
